Biographies
Evelyn Mê-Linh Phạm
is a Vietnamese-American actress and soprano from Orange County, California. With a B.M. in Vocal Performance from Chapman University, she is currently earning her M.M. at New York University for Vocal Performance with an emphasis in Music Theatre under Elena Shaddow-Harrington. Evelyn won 1st place in the NATS NYC Chapter in 2023 and performed on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center, the Grace Rainey Rodgers Auditorium at the Met Museum, and the Iris Cantor Theatre. Regional: Into the Woods (Cinderella), R&H's Cinderella (Marie/Fairy Godmother). NYU: Broadway Orchestra Concert (Johanna), Black Music Ensemble (Soloist). Opera: Florencia en el Amazonas (Rosalba), Manon (Manon), Romeo et Juliette (Juliette). Readings: Roxane, of Bergerac (Roxane), The Sea Between Us (Mia).
Mason Margut
is a pianist and composer based in New York City. He performs regularly at iconic NY venues such as Birdland and 54 Below, and has performed at notable venues around the country including the Ravinia Festival, Savannah Music Festival, and with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra. His music can be heard in A Friend of the Family (2023, Peacock), and his score of the film Free Time (2024, Cartilage Films), was acclaimed as “warm and impeccable” (Currant Jam). Recent credits include music directing A Little Night Music (American Theatre Group, 2024). A skilled accompanist, he currently serves as a staff accompanist at New York University and for the Young People’s Chorus of New York City. Margut holds a Master’s degree in collaborative piano from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree in jazz piano from Florida State University.
Sue-Hee Hong
is a second-year master's candidate of the Vocal Performance program studying music theatre in the studio of Professor Dianna Heldman. At NYU she has been seen in NYU Broadway Orchestra’s Street Scene (Rose Maurrant), Titanic (Ensemble), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Marcy Park) and Die Fledermaus (Ensemble).
Ella Jurusz
is a second-year graduate student in the Vocal Performance program, where she studies Musical Theatre in the studio of Devon Meddock. During her time at NYU, Ella has been seen in Celebrating the Genius of Alan Menken at the Skirball Theatre, NYU’s World Voices Collective, Black Music Ensemble, and multiple dance concerts through the Steinhardt Dance Education program. She wants to thank Evelyn for including her in her recital and give her a very special congratulations on all her hard work!
